Our Mission
Urban Outdoor Adventures (UOA) strives to introduce disadvantaged youth, high school students and adults alike to God’s wonders and the excitement of outdoor recreation. We seek to foster meaningful and sustainable relationships with our fellow adventurers while engaging in mediation, mentoring, developmental and advocacy programs in at-risk and urban communities within the City of Baltimore and surrounding regions.
Our Team
Urban Outdoor Adventures (UOA) Directors are comprised of four professional businessmen who were born and raised in urban communities within Baltimore City. They were exposed to the outdoors at different junctures in life, learned about wildlife management, conservation of our forestry and preservation of its habitats. Throughout the years these gentlemen have enjoyed countless outdoor excursions; they have explored many facets of nature, including deep sea fishing on the Atlantic Ocean and crabbing alongside the great Chesapeake Bay. Our team finds that spending time in the outdoors, observing God’s wonders, literally places you in an element of peace and tranquility. The experiences overall have proving to offer mental healing, promotes personal and social development, and simply allows one the ability to “wind-down” from the worries of the fast-paced environments in which we live.
